Job Summary:
We are hiring a Legal Data Entry Assistant to join our dynamic litigation team. In this role, you’ll provide essential administrative support by entering, updating, and organizing case-related data within our legal case management system. Your accuracy and efficiency will contribute directly to document preparation, court filing deadlines, and overall compliance with legal protocols.
This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and an interest in legal administrative work. You’ll work closely with attorneys and paralegals on active litigation matters, helping ensure data accuracy and document readiness throughout the litigation process.
Key Responsibilities:
Input and update case details in the firm’s case management system
Track filing deadlines, motions, hearings, and court orders
Enter discovery and deposition schedules and metadata
Maintain party information and contact records for clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel
Verify and log document versions and legal citations
Generate internal reports on case status and filing progress
Coordinate with legal staff to flag missing or outdated case data
Required Data Fields:
Case name and docket number
Court jurisdiction and filing venue
Parties involved and attorney assignments
Key deadlines (e.g., filing dates, discovery cut-offs, trial dates)
Document types and filing status (motions, pleadings, evidence lists)
Discovery logs and deposition dates

Case stage (pre-trial, discovery, trial, settlement)
