Project Overview:
Write a 1-page academic essay on the topic “Ethics of Conducting Criminological Research.” The essay should follow APA format and critically engage with the ethical challenges researchers face when studying crime, offenders, and victims. The paper must demonstrate an understanding of ethical principles such as informed consent, confidentiality, and researcher responsibility.

Specific Requirements:

1. Abstract: Include an abstract of 150–200 words summarizing the essay’s main argument and findings.

2. Essay Length: Main essay should be 1 page (excluding title page, abstract, and references).

3. Formatting: APA format (12-point Times New Roman, double-spaced, 1-inch margins).

4. Citations: Use at least 2–3 scholarly sources (journal articles, ethics guidelines, or criminology research). Include proper in-text citations and a reference list.

5. Content Focus:

   • Key ethical principles in criminological research (e.g., Belmont Report guidelines).

   • Protecting vulnerable populations (offenders, victims, communities).

   • Issues of informed consent, anonymity, and data security.

   • Balancing public interest in crime research with individual rights.
