Job Summary:
Our firm is seeking a Contract Data Entry Clerk to assist with the accurate entry and maintenance of key data from commercial and legal agreements. This role is essential to supporting our contract lifecycle management (CLM) processes and ensuring that important terms, deadlines, and obligations are tracked and updated in our centralized contract management system.
As a Contract Data Entry Clerk, you’ll work closely with legal, compliance, and procurement teams to ensure the integrity of contract records and to help mitigate business risks associated with missed deadlines or overlooked terms.
Key Responsibilities:
Enter contract data into the firm’s digital CLM or database system
Track execution dates, renewal terms, and expiration deadlines
Update party names, contract types, and document versions
Maintain metadata for contract categories, risk levels, and jurisdictions
Verify scanned documents and electronic records for accuracy and completeness
Flag contracts requiring review or renewal action
Generate summary reports for legal and business stakeholders
Required Data Fields:
Contract title and type (e.g., NDA, MSA, vendor agreement)
Party names and contact details
Effective date and expiration date
Renewal/termination terms
Payment terms and key deliverables
Governing jurisdiction and dispute resolution clause
Internal contract ID or reference number
Approval status (draft, executed, pending review)
Version history or amendment notes
Responsible department and assigned legal contact
Qualifications:
Experience in legal or administrative data entry preferred
Familiarity with contracts, legal terminology, and document handling
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage large volumes of data
