Job Title: Dissertation Editing & Quantitative Data Entry Research Assistant
Objective:
Provide comprehensive academic research support for a doctoral dissertation in the field of Education & Social Sciences, focusing on both literature review refinement and quantitative data entry/analysis. The role requires meticulous editing of dissertation drafts, structuring academic arguments, and managing large datasets for statistical analysis.
Scope of Work:
Dissertation Editing
Edit and refine 180–200 pages of dissertation drafts for grammar, flow, and academic tone.
Ensure compliance with APA 7th edition formatting (citations, references, tables, figures).
Reorganize sections for logical flow (Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results, Discussion).
Identify gaps in argumentation and recommend scholarly sources for strengthening.
Literature Review Expansion
Add 50–60 recent peer-reviewed sources (published 2018–2025).
Summarize each source (abstract, methodology, findings, contribution).
Enter into Zotero/Mendeley database with full metadata.
Create a thematic synthesis matrix (Excel/Word) mapping studies to dissertation objectives.
Data Entry & Statistical Analysis
Enter raw survey/interview responses (approx. 800 entries) into Excel + SPSS/R.
Clean dataset: check missing values, duplicates, and inconsistencies.
Run descriptive statistics, reliability tests (Cronbach’s Alpha), and inferential tests (T-test, ANOVA, regression).
Generate graphs, tables, and charts for dissertation appendices.
Summarize statistical results in academic language.
Quality & Compliance Checks
Run plagiarism scan (Turnitin < 8%).
Cross-check references and ensure all in-text citations appear in the reference list.
Proof final dissertation for university submission compliance (margins, font, page numbering).
Prepare a compliance checklist with notes for the supervisor.

Edited Dissertation Draft (Word, 180–200 pages).

Zotero/Mendeley library export with all references.
