Project Description

Job Title: Litigation Support Data Entry Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Litigation Support Data Entry Assistant to assist our legal team in managing and organizing discovery materials and tracking evidence for active litigation cases. In this role, you’ll work closely with paralegals, litigation coordinators, and attorneys to ensure all data is accurately entered into our case management system and accessible for court proceedings and legal reviews.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately input data related to case files, exhibits, and legal evidence

  • Organize scanned discovery materials and link them to appropriate cases

  • Maintain a detailed log of evidence ID numbers, types, custodians, and document status

  • Track deposition schedules and transcript uploads

  • Label and categorize files based on relevance, privilege, or sensitivity

  • Ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and chain-of-custody standards are met

  • Assist with preparing documentation for pre-trial motions and filings


Required Data Fields:

  • Case number

  • Client and opposing party names

  • Evidence/document ID

  • Document type (transcript, image, exhibit, video, etc.)

  • Custodian or source

  • Deposition date(s)

  • Filing and response deadlines

  • Relevance or privilege classification

  • Status of review (pending/approved/restricted)


Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in legal data entry or litigation support preferred

  • Familiarity with legal terminology, court procedures, and document management

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or legal case management software (e.g., Relativity, Clio, or CaseMap)

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
