You will be tasked with inputting key data such as patient names, dates of birth, diagnosis codes, treatment notes, attending physician information, insurance coverage, and visit history. Your contribution will directly support our HIPAA compliance and quality assurance efforts.
We are seeking a Medical Records Data Entry Clerk to help ensure that our patient information is managed with precision and in full regulatory compliance. Your role will be critical in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our health records and directly supporting our HIPAA compliance and quality assurance efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately enter and update patient data in the electronic health record (EHR) system, including:
Patient full names and dates of birth
Diagnosis codes and treatment notes
Attending physician details
Insurance provider information and coverage specifics
Medical visit history and clinical notes
Review scanned records and verify all required fields
Maintain strict data confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards
Collaborate with medical staff to correct incomplete or unclear data entries
Requirements:
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Knowledge of medical terminology and EHR systems
Strong understanding of patient data confidentiality protocols
Previous experience in healthcare or medical records preferred
